Zugu Flights Search Simplifies Stag-Do Planning

Hats off to you if you’ve managed to find the perfect stag-do destination. Unfortunately, that’s the easy bit. The real fun and games start when you try to sort out the flights for everyone.

To help you on your way, Cheapflights has just unveiled Zugu, billed as ‘the next generation of flights search.’ It’s aimed at people who know exactly when they want to travel, which is good news if you’re trying to plan an overseas stag weekend.

Designed as an easy to navigate site for customers whose travel plans are less flexible than the average Cheapflights user, Zugu uses ‘metasearch’ technology to focus in on the lowest fares for specific travel itineraries. Instead of concentrating on selected flight offers, Zugu trawls the best available fares in real time using its impressive range of partnerships with travel industry leaders including Expedia, Ryanair and Lastminute.com. Users can compare prices in a single search from all the top airlines and travel agents.

Unlike most flight comparison websites, Zugu’s interface has a funky green and white minimal look, not dissimilar in style to Google, and the emphasis is on simplicity, user-friendliness and precision. Helpfully, any fares quoted can be sorted by date and time, price, duration and airline. Bear in mind that Zugu is still in its Beta testing stage, so look out for new features in the future.

According to Cheapflights Media’s CEO, Hugo Burge, “With Zugu, we are recognising that there is a different segment of people out there who know exactly where and when they want to travel.”

To publicise the launch, Zugu is holding a competition via its Twitter and Facebook pages and one lucky user will win a pair of flights to any destination in the world. To be in with a shot at winning, all you have to do is pinpoint the meaning behind ‘Zugu.’ No, we’ve got no idea either.

Have you just started planning a stag-do? Are you looking for stag-do ideas or is surviving your stag-do your main concern? If you need information on where to go when you get to your stag-do destination then check out our stag-do city guides. Share your opinions with us on the forum.
