The Most Magical Venue in London
Truth be told, we’d all like to put on a wedding that’s memorable (for all the right reasons, of course). Unfortunately,
sourcing something genuinely original is about as easy as arranging world peace for the day. Wouldn’t it be great if you could wave your magic wand and hey presto – you’ve found a unique, interesting and stylish venue for your reception – just like that?
Abracadabra! Staggered has done just that and conjured up one of the capital’s best kept secrets. Simon Drake’s House of Magic is a lavish residence, tucked away in a secret Southwark location a mere one mile from the Houses of Parliament.
Guests make an unforgettable entrance through its picturesque Enchanted Garden (great for photos) into the red Reception Room with its ornate gothic interior and open fireplace for fine dining. Wedding speeches, entertainment and dancing can take place in the theatre-style Auditorium whilst the drinks can flow in the Drawing Room which is furnished with spell-binding magic paraphernalia and a library. Squiffy drama queens might even want to go ghost-hunting in the basement…wuh huh huh huh!
Billing itself as the most unusual night out in the capital, the House of Magic can cater for up to 150 guests who’ll undoubtedly be wowed by the luxuriant splendour, surreal setting, first-rate grub and extraordinary entertainment; anything from fortune tellers and magicians to a full magical cabaret can be booked.
There are no set templates and weddings are tailored to the couple’s needs. Better still, there are no price hikes for weddings. According to the House of Magic “…we don’t take ourselves too seriously but we do take your wedding celebration very seriously indeed.” You can’t say fairer than that. Now all you need to do is source some statement wedding attire with which to do it justice…
