So many wedding fairs – which one to choose? Obviously, geography plays a part, so if you’re based in the North East, how about a fair with top notch fashion shows, live music and a breathtaking setting?http://www.flickr.com/photos/frenkieb/

For a fifth year, The UK Wedding Shows is exhibiting in the Tattersall Suite at Newcastle Racecourse on Saturday, October 2nd and Sunday, October 3rd. The Branding House Grade II listed building is at the heart of High Gosforth Park and set in 800 achingly beautiful acres. Not surprisingly, this venue attracts exhibitors from across the North East and over 60 companies are attending the Show.

Award-winning, professionally choreographed fashion shows (featuring groomswear) are held three times daily (at 12.00pm, 2.00pm and 4.00pm) in the Colonel Porter Suite, showcasing the latest designs. They feature entertainment from local recording artist and jazz, soul and swing supremo, Jason Isaacs.

As you’d expect, a host of local and national suppliers will be available, providing help and advice to make sure that your special day goes without a hitch. It’s all there: accessories, balloons, beauty, bridalwear, cakes, cars, caterers, Mother of the Bride outfits (for the first time at this venue), flowers, gift lists, honeymoons, men’s wedding attire, music and entertainment, photo booth, photography, hen and stag weekends, stationery, tiaras, wedding DVDs, wedding and engagement rings, and venues. And probably lots more stuff that we can’t think of right now.

Since the Show’s organiser, The UK Wedding Shows, is committed to supporting smaller enterprises and not just the major wedding companies, there’s plenty of scope for sourcing lots of original supplies for your special day.

Tickets are £5 in advance and £6 on the door and the show takes place from 11.00am – 5.00pm on both days. Visitors receive a complimentary Show Guide and bridal gift bag full of fantastic goodies.
