You Are Cordially Invited To The Staggered Stag-Do

When the lovely Sera Hill-Smith of I Am Magpie first told us about how brilliant and simple her digital invitation service is, our immediate response was: “Digital invites are a thing? That’s news to us. What do they look like? How does that work?”

Once we’d settled down, taken our brain medicine and had a nap, our nurse reminded us that we’re living in the digital age where such marvels were perfectly feasible. Then the real question became: just how brilliant and simple are these invites to make? After all, we figured; if we can do it, with our learning difficulties, then so can you.

We asked Sera for a bit more info about how the service works; what would she need from us and what would we get in return? She told us:

“How it works is you send me the details of your plan for the stag/hen do and I put it together myself, so there’s nothing to it really! We make the invite within a few days for you to email out or put on a facebook event page.

“You also get a webpage version which stays up on iammagpie.co.uk until the event takes place, to act as a resource for the guests.  I usually ask for up to 3 photos, links to all the activities, b&b, restaurants etc. that have been booked and then any specific info you might want to include, such as a schedule, which I organise into my hen/stag templates.

“The designs for Stags are: Traditional Stag, Mexican Day of the Dead, Retro Gamer (based on the Game on Wedding invites) and Casino Theme – we can do completely bespoke, if you have a theme in mind. It just makes the whole thing a bit more fun, and a great way to compile all the info together!”

We’re not really going on a stag-do, of course, so we turned to our forum members for some killer (hypothetical) stag-do activity ideas – most so outlandish that we were unable to provide Sera with any weblinks – and a couple of photos of the team partying. We only wanted a brief bespoke flourish, as we were keen to see how the existing themes would look.

Here’s the result!

So, which is your favourite? We’re partial to the Mexican Day of The Dead invite.

Yeah I like the Mexican one too. Kinda suits my Stag Do too- we will definitely be the bandits in Liverpool, possibly as many as 18 of us and none a Liverpudlian!

Great idea to have a Facebook event as well as website – my best men have found many prospective Stag attendees don’t reply to standard boring emails, so I’ll point them in this direction right away!!!

These are amazing. It’s a toss-up between retro-gamer and Mexican wrestler type thing for me. A definite winner.

What a great idea – just a shame this isn’t a real event – sounds like fun!!!!

All of them obvs because I look pretty in a tutu.

But if I had to choose one, it would be the gaming one, as that’s nearest and dearest to my heart.

What a great service – if I hadn’t had to have sent invites to nans who don’t know what emails are, then it would definitely have been an option for me.
