The Rock N Roll Bride’s Favourite Grooms

admin Jul 2010 3 Comments Bookmark or Share

As the vast majority of our readers are men, there’s a very good chance that you won’t have done much googling around the term “bridal blogs”. If you have, may we be the first to say, “dude, WTF?”

This being the case, you might not know that there’s several incredible websites out there dedicated to the lady half of the wedding day. Some of them are really good and some of them are about as feeble as you’d imagine.

Anyway, one of our favourite is Rock n Roll Bride and we asked Kat from the blog [btw if you've got two secs go vote for her to win $1000 - ed] to share some of the favourite grooms she’s seen in her years as a bridal blogger. Take it Kat.

***********

I was tasked by Andrew to pop over here and talk to you a little bit about Rock n Roll Grooms, so I decided to ask some of my past favourite boys a little about their opinion on their weddings, their memories of the day, what jobs they had…oh and their outfits. Running Rock n Roll Bride I get to ‘meet’ a lot of gorgeous alternative girls and hear all about their fantastically unique weddings, but I also often get to meet the boys too…and I love that. It’s not often in this industry we call wedding that the boys have such an integral part in their big day, but over at Rock n Roll Bride they do!

Now, would you believe it, these little dark-horses, all seemed to have a lot to say about fashion! Who knew? You boys don’t half keep quiet about fashion usually. I have been pleasantly surprised by the responses I’ve gotten from all these trendy boys, so I wanted to share some of my favourite of them with you today.

What struck me instantly from what they all said is that every single one of them wanted something individual, something unique and something that suited them and their own personalities. Hopefully I (and they) can maybe inspire you to stay away from the awful ill-fitting hired suit and think outside the box with your wedding day attire…and if you like what they have to say then maybe I’ll pop back one day soon to talk more about the other stuff…

I love these grooms quirky style. It always makes me sad when you see people wearing the same hired penguin suits over and over – what about a bit of personality eh boys?

We’d like to inject a bit of personality into our formal attire, but, unfortunately, we’re limited to tuxes and variations on tuxes. Women get to have all the fun when it comes to wardrobe. Don’t blame us; blame society!
