Winning Proposals On Newbury Racecourse Lovers Bench
Congratulations on taking the plunge and making the decision to propose. By rights, this should be a brilliant time but more often than not it’s marred by worries over how and where to get engaged. Everyone’s got a horror
story about rubbish proposal scenarios, when what you really need are ingenious suggestions for the perfect proposal.
Helpfully, Newbury Racecourse in Berkshire has come up with an innovative new concept for getting engaged to your girl. It’s launched a dedicated ‘lover’s bench’ which is located amongst Newbury’s classic benches, boasting a stunning view of the finishing straight. There’s no denying that it’s a truly romantic spot for hopefuls to pop that all-important question. After all, you’ll be dressed up to the nines, the drinks will have been flowing and with a bit of luck, the sun will even decide to shine down on you. If that doesn’t guarantee you a ‘yes’, we don’t know what will.
A horse racing stag-do could also offer the solution to your stag party dilemmas. What could be better than a group-friendly activity in the fresh country air that allows you to get suited and booted, quaff some champers and have a punt on some thoroughbreds? It’s an odds-on winner.
If you’ve got an especially acute case of the proposal heebie-jeebies, you ain’t alone. Cosmopolitan magazine surveyed some chaps last year to find out what they regard as the most terrifying activities known to man. For 28 % of the respondents, swimming with sharks was their greatest fear. However, getting down on one knee wasn’t far behind, attracting a healthy 23 % of the votes. Yes, you read that correctly. A quarter of blokes would prefer to take a dip with Jaws than get down on one knee.
