well what is a balanced diet? and if it was really that simple would much of the world be in the very firm grip of a global obesity epidemic?

I do agree however that diets don&#039;t work - indeed scientific research has shown that the biggest predictor of weight gain over 5 years is......BEING ON A DIET!

I have an honours degree in exercise and health sciences and can assure you that nutrition and weight loss is far from simple! But it can be done, and reducing carbohydrate intake is for many an effective method of short term weight loss.... Did you know you can actually alter your hormones via your choice of food to reduce your appetite?

However before you go running back to atkins be aware that high protein arteries are likely to harden your arteries!
