Still Alive

Hello!

I’m poking my head out from underneath my rock once again. I’m afraid that I don’t really have a theme for this post, which is most unlike me and I do apologise. I will, in my defence, say that I do have some cracking things in the pipeline, which I’ll be blogging about very soon and then you can call off the hounds.

The cake wasn't a lie - it was tasty.

So, why have I been AWOL?

1. Portal 2. I love that game so much I want a wedding cake shaped like a white turret.
2. Work – it’s amazing how much impact a very busy period at work will have on planning a wedding. I’ve not been able to devote much time at all to all things wedding.
3. The new series of Doctor Who is on. I have watched nearly every repeat.
4. Bank holidays – did you SEE the sun?! It’s amazing. I am enjoying the weather as I expect this is our annual summer ration being delivered ahead of time. Make the most of it people.

So, what have I actually managed to accomplish?

1. Having to re-approach the weight loss, as the current tactics weren’t working
2. Working out (finally) what I am doing for all the suits – I am very excited about this and will tell more very soon.
3. Organising something else very cool to give me an extra boost of confidence for my appearance (again, more details soon™)
4. 1^st round of invitations all replied-to, 2^nd round out in the post today! 3^rd round planned in a month.
5. I’ve downloaded all the ceremony music (a really cool option that, as ever, I will go into more detail about later), arranged it into playlists as needed, bought a new mp3 dock and even managed to test the venue for acoustics (aaaaand…. Breathe).
6. I was really worried about my wedding shoes. I know very little about shoes and less about what I really like. Then I found them at Jones the Bookmaker. My god they are gorgeous:

So, what’s next fella?

1. Make more Numbered Lists. Numbered Lists are cool.
2. Try the Weight Watcher Online + exercise.
3. Hope it works.
4. Order the suits baby – they have a snazzy pair of shoes to look awesome with.
5. Revisit the buttonholes – every time I look at them I start to think that they are too big, and I don’t want to look like Coco the clown.
6. Get my bloody stag do sorted (I have a rant post brewing, so stand by…)

So, that’s all from me. I hope you liked my lists. I did, they make me feel like I have been productive now, which is a good thing. I promise that I’ll revisit my wording here so that I can then go and write all the posts that I mention above!
