Help is at hand for overwhelmed Best Men who’re going all-out to arrange unforgettable stag weekends. Microsoft andhttp://www.flickr.com/photos/pandemia/ Expedia.co.uk have launched the first ever dedicated, optimised web browser for travel buffs, and you can download it here.

To complement the launch, Microsoft undertook a survey into how Brits feel about booking a holiday online. It found that whilst two-thirds of us agree that the best deals are found online, 22% admit to struggling around the web.

This brand spanking new Expedia version of Internet Explorer 8 helps the travel co-ordinator via a range of features which update dynamically with useful information such as flights and room prices. These include ‘Accelerators’ – predefined favourites to help users navigate to the most relevant websites in one click, plus customised ‘Webslices’ that take external websites’ content directly into the Expedia page without the need to open new tabs and search. Other whizzy features include:

  • Last Minute Deals – drop down menus for car hire, flights, hotels and package hols
  • Hot Hotels – sorts 123,000+ hotels by star rating and guest review
  • Weather – local forecasts for the selected destination
  • Currency Converter – the latest exchange rates
  • InPrivate browsing - credit card details and other personal info can’t be seen by others.

Stuck for stag do ideas? We’ve got it covered, from the classics to some surprisingly good freebie ideas. Make sure you consult our straight-talking city guides before you set off and tell the forum what you’re planning.
