Is it worth trying hard to come up with an original and entertaining best man speech with all that pressure on you?

Well clearly what's happened here is he's misjudged his audience. He did the same thing when he made that awful Mr Bean movie.

The point is, if you're going to give a speech like this it helps to keep in mind that you're meant to be delivering a speech that is as fun as it is funny. 

Don't use it as your stand-up audition, let the laughs come from the truth of your memories with the groom.
