Aye if you're Scottish, Irish or (maybe) Welsh; nae if you're no.  Otherwise, you're just an Englishman in a snazzy skirt, ya ken?

A quick google turns up the fact there is an Evans tartan I could wear, so I eagerly await further views on this hot topic.  There's not much Welsh about me apart from the surname, so I fear I'd be more of an Englishman in a snazzy skirt.  And that's what the stag do is for surely.

I'm Welsh born and bred, but my parents are Lancastrian and of Irish and Italian descent.

As far back as I can remember all I ever wanted was to be a gangster in a kilt…

Actually my brother was quite keen that we wear kilts to his wedding, but we decided against it.

A "Naaeeeee, laddie" from me then.

The Celtic distinction is important but what about people like me – I'm a Shanahan, could trace my family back to Ireland, but I'm about as Irish as a normal rate of inflation. The poseurs would do it but I cannae.
