It's a clichéd concern to have, but many men are worried that once the marriage license is signed, the supermodel they married will give up on the pilates in favour of plates of chips, safe in the knowledge she will never need to seduce a man again. This gives rise to another emerging fear of the modern groom-to-be, namely that his slob wife will sit on her bum all day and let the dishes and the washing mount up.
Guess what: the feeling is mutual. But she's not only worried you'll become a slob, she's sure it's only a matter of time.
Are these concerns valid? We know where all this comes from of course, the old "no woman will ever live up to your mother" spiel, but in the 21st century with all of the changes in social attitudes that have shaped our modern society, isn't it only right that the men do their fare share of the housework?

Hahaha, that's not a popular viewpoint. Blogger Dan A had a good post on this about getting fat after getting hitched. I have to say that it does seem to hold true. It's not just the security of being married that makes you married, it's the fact that for about a year after you get wed all you seem to do is meet up with people and get ratted and you blimp out.

Clearly, what I should say is that this is what happened to me.
