Simple one for you tonight: Who would have the best weddings – Cavemen or Astronauts?

Cavemen. Cavemen   Astronauts

You might also like to posit your theories on which would make the best husbands/wives…

Oooh it's a toughie (and for anyone wondering where this came from) y'see your caveman wedding would be all primal and shit, but your astronauts would have the gadgets and the favours would be amazing ("moon rocks, cool!").

I'm going to go caveman though for the simple reason that it would be more relaxed.

But astronauts would have zero-G and floating cake – floating cake! It doesn't get much more relaxed than that.

zero g cake is an excellent point, but just think of getting married wearing no pants whatsoever. Just cool air and animal fur keeping your nethers company. Now that is relaxed.

Plus meal in a pill or roast meats and homebrew?

Good point. Meat from a tube just isn't a substitute.

I'd sooner have techno music than drumming though. I used to live with a bloke who was into drumming. He would drum on everything. I used to fantasise about making a drum out of his face and drumming on it forever.

I think astronauts and cavemen dance to Strauss.

Wave your hands in the air like you just don't care!

… until you smack your head on a bulkhead. Blood gets everywhere in zero-g.

Are we overlooking something pretty basic here? Wilma Flintstone vs. Jane Jetson.

Jane is obsessesed with fashion and new gadgetry (thanks Wikipedia). This means she'll spend a lot of money and, let's face it, is lazy as hell.

I'll admit, I'm slightly biased here, I've always had a thing for Wilma Flintstone (cartoon or otherwise), but anyone that can wash the dishes with a parrot is alright in my book. So surely the question is futuristic or prehistoric wife?

After all that I vote Jane Jetson, as without rose tinted glasses, prehistoric wife = hairy legs and all sorts…

I've never quite understood blokes who say that they find Wilma/Jessica Rabbit/Popeye attractive. I wouldn't consider myself choosy in any way, shape or form but I think I'd insist on three dimensions. Unless it was GA.

haha, you geek. Nice to see Red Dwarf again, for several series that bordered on existential brilliance.

BTW re: cavemen and astronauts as a guest the former would be far better when it came to gifts. Astronauts will want costly O2 filtration systems and rockets. Cavemen would mostly be thrilled with a bit of wood shaped like a head.
