YouTubery – Five Stag-Do Pranks Caught On Camera

John Thorp Nov 2009 4 Comments Bookmark or Share

You’d think that not many stag-do pranks would turn up on YouTube, what with the whole “What Goes On Tour Stays On Tour” ethos, right? Wrong. Fortunately for us, there’s hours of material just waiting for us to point and laugh at, such as these five pranks caught on camera.

Gaz’s Island of Torture

A vast majority of Stag pranks involve paint balling in one way or another, but this is easily the most brutal to be found. Marooned on a small woodland island, Gaz and a few team mates endure a firing squad of splat. What gives this a real edge is the hooded cackling, not to mention the clear voice of a child indulging in the merry sadism. However, in the comments, a Youtube user is keen to accurately define ‘writhing in pain’, with SuperSilky69 (who definitely sounds like a paint baller…) saying, “I had to run a gauntlet in a pair of hot pants and a string vest while all my mates let rip with paint balls!”  Pics or it didn’t happen, Silky!

Swangleberry Strikes Again! (NSFW!)

(NSFW) Has Swangleberry gone too far? Or is he simply in touch with the simpler, less complicated, less expensive side of mischief? If you happened to have invited Swangers along to your party, this video may well turn you off the idea. Or make you ensure he attends even more. Either way, this is a video of one sober man urinating in the face of a sleeping man. Take that as you will. The Adventures of Swangleberry begins on ITV2 next spring. Probably.

Horn Confusion

Before I dissect this video, it’s worth mentioning that almost all outrageous stag-do videos were filmed in Newcastle, such as this one. What in hell do they pump into the air/drinks there? Anyway, on with the video. Oh, there’s no need for my sarcastic breakdown, as your plucky prankster at the beginning lays it all on the table. A man is asleep. There will be a horn. He will wake up. And to be fair, the groom’s reaction of sudden, genuine terror is worth the wait. Let’s hope this reaction was screened repeatedly at the wedding reception under the banner ‘Terry Realises His Future!’

Lamp Post Embarrassment for Beginners

In this instructional delight, Dan Kendall (it’s great when they print the names so we can Facebook search them and pass on our best wishes), a shirtless man on a business estate finds himself gang taped to a post, but what makes this a gem is the care and effort taken in, to the point that Dan seems genuinely delighted with the effort. Look how one of them even makes the point of checking if our Dan will suffocate. Lads, well done – this is stag prankery done right, and within Health and Safety’s advice.

Increasingly Complex Ape Kidnap

The description of this video suggests that you should kidnap your stag, and force him to spend his final free weekend dressed as a furry ape, forced to carry out a series of pranks and challenges, ‘out of his comfort zone’. And yet here, this young chap appears entirely in his comfort zone, and rightly so we say. Look at the footage of him rolling around the Aussie dessert in a jeep, or amusing children on a train. Mysterious gorilla man, we salute you.

Just to educate the masses: The first video here isn’t painball, instead it’s airsoft which uses (mostly) electric powered BB rifles.
The bruises from which are never as big as paintballs, but the impact from them can sometimes knock your teeth out.

@tudorVII the lost teeth element is probably what made it so funny.
