Stag idea: indoor skydiving
Let’s face it, if half your mates have either lost their jobs or taken a pay cut, you look like a bit of a c*ck asking them all to front up for a long weekend in Amsterdam. If you’re all minted then there’s plenty to celebrate in Europe’s capitals, but otherwise the soundest stags are looking to get their thrills closer to home right now [If money is an issue then you might like to look at our free stag-do feature - Ed].
After all there are thrills such as Airkix indoor skydiving – officially one of the coolest stag-do activities on Planet Home Counties. Inside the giant greenhouse that is Milton Keynes’ Xscape, The plan in essence is to parachute yourselves into a giant wind tunnel, 12ft in diameter and 35 feet tall, with wind speeds of up to 130mph. But, y’know, without the parachute.
It’s fine, really – there’s a training video and an instructor and they won’t let you go in it if you’re more than 12ft wide, so there’s basically no chance you’ll get wedged in the top and we’re almost certain that you don’t have to burp your way to safety like Charlie.
If you take a group of five or more people then it costs from £32.99 each for two minutes of flight time , and a DVD is included so you can all remember that moment when the stag chucked a whitey forever.
For more details on the flying packages available, related costs, to book your flights and to purchase vouchers go to www.airkix.com. For more information on Xscape (there’s also a snowdome, rock climbing wall, bowling alley, restaurants and basically everything the bored people of Buckinghamshire could ever need) see www.xscape.co.uk/milton-keynes
Need video to understand things? Ok, here. Word of warning, you probably won’t be this good.
