What did the men wear on the day?
We got our suits from Pronuptia in Nottingham. My Sherwani was purchased from India, no less. My uncle has a shop in the Punjab called Billas Garments and he had them tailor made for us.
Where was your stag-do – any scars?
The Stag Do was in Maguluf – 30 men strong descended upon the holiday resort. Let’s just say, that there was a lot of drinking, a lot of fun, a lot of vomit, a lot of forced nakedness and, worst of all, a lot of sore heads.
What three pieces of advice would you give to blokes going through the whole wedding thing now?
1. For all the stresses and strains you’re undoubtedly feeling now, it will all be worth it for the day itself and most importantly, your future together. Always remember that, especially when your wallet is empty.
2. Try and accommodate everything you can for your wife to be. It is a female’s dream to get married from a young age. Therefore, as special as the day is to you, it is 100 times more so for her.
3. Finally, take in as much as you can on the day as it will fly by.
A word for the lady, come on, say something emotional about your bride…
I met my wife a few years ago in Birmingham. It was love at first sight! On top of being beautiful, she cooks brilliantly. Those qualities, on top of being selfless and passionate, are the perfect ingredients for the perfect wife. I am proud to call her mine.
Vish, you’re rocking both of these looks brilliantly, and while you’re advice is sound, it’s good to see that you’ve not gotten too carried away with bending to the bride’s will – after all, here at Staggered we’re all about reminding the groom that it’s his day too. That said, it’s good that you’ve got a head-start on bending to her will; lots of that to look forward to…
