Being dragged down the High Street (repeatedly) on a freezing winter’s day can really add the misery factor to wedding planning. Here’s a thought – why not stay indoors in the warm instead? Ok, so we’re not claiming that you can get everything sorted from the comfort of your armchair, but you can do the next best thing and brave one decent wedding fair. Like this one.

The UK Wedding Shows is hosting the Newcastle Wedding Show on Saturday, 29th January and Sunday, 30th January, from 10.00am – 5.00pm and it’s an impressive affair, alrighty. Located at Newcastle’s Metro Radio Arena, it’s the largest wedding show in the North East and boasts over 100 exhibitors, from unusual wedding transport specialists and designer florists to bespoke cake makers and seriously stylish wedding attire.
You can gawp at the tidy models (fashion show times: 12.00pm, 2.00pm and 4.00pm), have some lunch, and break the back of your wedding planning in one big hit. Tickets cost £8 in advance and £9 on the door and you can buy them online. The arena is easy peasy to find and only a ten minute walk from Newcastle Central Station if you fancy checking out the nightlife and potential stag-do ideas afterwards…
