30 Year Old Leftover Cake Sells For £180
A sliver of cake reputedly from the 1981 wedding of Charles and Diana has sold for £180 in an online auction, according to wedding news. The slice, which could have come from any one of 23 cakes made for the royal wedding was a snip, after a section of the icing sold in 2008 went for a staggering £1000. Expect Prince Andrew’s tupperware collection to expand dramatically ahead of Wills and Kate’s big day.
R.S.V.P. In The Wind
Speaking to The Showbiz 411, Elton John has revealed that he will not be attending the royal wedding, despite his close associations with the late Princess Diana. So now you know.
Empire Doesn’t Back Strikes
The Daily Mail have reported that David Cameron may tear up strike laws in order to prevent, among other things, tube strikes planned to coincide with the Royal Wedding. What, no horse and carriage?
Reid Only
After 11 months, it seems Katie Price has split from latest husband Alex Reid. Shocker.
Launch of La Belle Memoire
This month sees the launch of the company producing high quality bespoke wedding books. They can scan and preserve your order of service, place names, readings, speeches, messages from your guests, lyrics from your first dance along with your photographs and anything you want to preserve from your wedding day. They then produce a cherished monograph designed using your colours and following your wedding theme. La Belle Memoire’s unique, handmade books are aimed at the luxury end of the gift market, costing around £500, and can also be created as records of stag and hen celebrations.
