Can Blokes Enjoy Weddings?
Hello, an audio-visual presentation for you in the shape of me, Staggered editor, Andrew Shanahan, interviewed on City Talk on the subject of whether men can enjoy weddings (long story short – yes they can).
Like a true professional I couldn’t find the phone (it was in the Lego box – of course), so it takes me a while to get my breath back. Smooth.

- If you want more input but you’re struggling to get your ideas across take your wife-to-be out for dinner and explain how you feel. Show her some of the ideas you’ve had and the work you’ve put into researching them. Explain why they’re important to you and why they’d add to the day. Remember, marriage is a partnership and, ultimately, if you can’t get a say now, when will you?
- If you desperately want control of a particular element of the wedding, say you want to surprise your wife. No one can say no to surprises and just imagine the joy on her little face when she sees the Burlesque show you’ve arranged for the evening’s entertainment.
- Although you should definitely get your views listened to and respected, you have to let her be a bit Princessy about the wedding. It’s not like you were planning your Big Day when you were six is it? Is it?
