A Short Catch-Up
I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year! I know me and Paul did – we ate too much, drank far too much (especially on New Year’s Eve, consequentially I spent New Year’s Day in bed praying for death) and danced our troubles away.
Unfortunately it’s back to the grind now, which leaves me panicking slightly because I have two uni assignments due in 3 days and I have done precisely fuck all for either of them, and also I have accomplished the unimaginable feat of blowing my entire month’s salary in five days and although a lot of that was Christmas shopping, most was heart-attack-inducing food and shots of Jagermeister.
On the bright side I have spent lots of time bonding with the in-laws, who are thankfully lovely people and have roped in the majority of their huge family to help out with the wedding, including the flowers, the DJ and the catering and really, I can’t thank them enough for their enthusiasm and hard work that they have done so far. The mother-in-law even set up a sample top table for us when we came round for dinner once and it looked amazing!
It was also nice to dust off the old gym membership card and go for a work-out and a swim today, so hopefully that will continue! It’s been difficult to stay motivated and if anyone has any tips to make yourself stick to a work-out routine then please send them this way in the comments!
The next seven months are going to be tough but we are all determined to see it go to plan and to have a wonderful day on 16th July before sodding off to Cyprus for two weeks. I will of course keep you all updated along the way!
Love,
Alena

The best way around the gym thing is take only enougth money with you to work for lunch and emergency bus or train fare. Leave the debit and credit cards at home lessening the chance of you going down the pub. Then instead of going down the pub go to the gym. This should work for a moth or 2.
Or get a bike and cycle to work…
